TOWARDS UNIVERSAL ACCESS
Some legal services are so critical to human rights they should be free for everyone, just like bulk-billed GP visits.
We are building a legal service free for all, without means testing, open to the whole community.
↓DRIVEN BY STUDENTS ON PLACEMENT AND LEGAL TECH
We combine direct casework with clinical legal education and intelligent application of computer science to remove barriers to justice.
↓MODERN LIFE DEMANDS NAVIGATION OF COMPLEX BUREAUCRACIES
'Life admin' requires engagement with impersonal systems governed by forms, call queues, and opaque rules. Even minor errors can trigger disproportionate consequences. People with limited institutional literacy face higher risks of delay, sanction and exclusion.
Individually, each interaction may appear trivial. Collectively, they impose a continuous cognitive and emotional burden that forces people into a posture of compliance rather than autonomy. Over time, this administrative friction can erode an individual’s resilience as well as their dignity.
↓EFFICIENCY AS JUSTICE
Access to justice should not be burdened by bureaucracy. Help should be available in as few steps as possible.
